But this Michael Bay CGI-Action fest is still not going to disappoint. And even if it does, it’s got Megan Fox in it, so who really cares??

Last night’s Super Bowl spot featured reformed drunk driver Shia LaBeouf reprising his roll as Sam Witwicky (are you serious? Witwicky??) battling it out with the likes of a Chevrolet Volt, Corvette Centennial, and everyone child’s favorite semi-tractor trailer – Optimus Prime.

One thing we did notice is the lack of “in your face” Chevy logos during this spot. This may fuel the rumors, along with a spied Audi R8, that Transformers 2 will not be as GM heavy as the original film. Chevrolet did request their new Chevy Volt electric car be featured “for at least 60 seconds” in the film’s final edit.transformers 2 castSome of the confirmed vehicles coming down GM’s line include the aforementioned Corvette:

One thing we can tell from last night’s TV spot – Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will have more Chevy destructiveness than the upcoming Star Trek movie, where Kirk wrecks his uncle’s Corvette.
