Chevy Agile – South America’s Better Looking Chevrolet

South America’s GM has introduced official photos of their Chevrolet Agile Concept – proving South America gets better concepts then we do. Official renderings show off a hot looking 5-door hatchback, with an almost Cruze type front end (remember the Cruze? Neither do we). It’s an exotic looking crossover from Chevy, but sadly will only be available in S. America towards the end of 2009.

Aglie looks fantastic outside – is it just us, or do we feel a little slighted that Chevy North may not be getting the coolest looking vehicles? Granted, once Agile starts to roll off its Argentinian assembly line it may look nothing like this. Inside, this Chevrolet isn’t overly impressive – looks like an updated Cobalt dash.

“The Agile goes beyond a traditional hatchback,” said Carlos Barba, General Director of GM Design Mercosur. “Our task was to conduct a vehicle for a demanding client. Our task was to conduct a vehicle for a demanding client. Great design, interior space and a crossover… a car to attract customers from a different urban public or to a surfer who loves the countryside.”
