So you’re probably wondering what’s the deal with Chevrolet’s special edition Captiva SUV. Well, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing that occurred on July 20, 1969, Chevrolet Europe’s official supplier of LPG systems, “Fahrmitgas” decided to launch a special version of the Opel Antara-based Captiva SUV dubbed MOONLANDER that will be produced in a limited run of 40 units. The Captiva MOONLANDER is available in Germany with two LPG capable powerplants, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder petrol with 136HP (FWD) and a 3.2-liter V6 petrol that makes 230HP (4WD). Prices start from €25,590.
Available exclusively in a white finish with black details, the Captiva MOONLANDER comes with numerous graphics inspired from the iconic Apollo 11 mission as well as mirror-like tints for the rear passenger and tailgate windows plus 20-inch alloy wheels in 245/20 tires and a lowering kit that drops the suspension by 35 millimeters.
