Ya'll seem to be forgetting that if the two companies dont merge, they are both going down the drain and dragging every parts manufacture they work with down with them. Oh, lest ye forget, if all those go down, so does Ford who uses many of the same parts companies for business. So there goes Ford...

And about..4 million Americans out of a job right around the Holidays. Last time I checked, there are not 4 million jobs in America that pay $40+ an hour (what the AVERAGE auto worker makes) ... Walmart only pays 8 for a shift floor manager. Thats assuming that walmart wants 4 million floor managers.

Look, the merger has to happen. I think you shouldnt be shocked to see a Chevrochryslord in the future. The Detroit three have to merge to win this battle... no two ways about it.

I have always been a big chevy fan. The only thing I will drive is a chevy! Ford has never been an option for me, because I never even considered it. The only thing that I would consider even thinking about buying is a dodge, but I am a hardcore chevy fan, an I don't want the chevy name polluted by dodge.. If chevy would bring some factories back to the states then maybe they could stay alive.

I think this could be a world changing event (in a positive way). I can think of all kinds of good merger outcomes. Like a Cummins/Allison Dodge or Chevy. SWEET! I would stop my Ford only ways and buy one for sure!!
