Chevrolet in Television & Film

Chevrolet in Television & Film

The Chevrolet brand has been around so long that it has had plenty of opportunities for starring roles in films and television, which it has taken advantage of. Here’s a run-down of appearances of Chevrolet models in popular TV series and major films. In some the models played a major part (even having speaking roles!) while in others they were an important part of the set, or an often used prop. One of the most recent speaking roles for a Chevrolet was the Camaro as Bumblebee in Transformers. Bumblebee starts out as a 1977 Chevrolet Camaro…

…then gets upgraded to the 2009 model.

Another speaking role for Chevrolet was as Mater, the 1956 Chevrolet Cameo, in the Disney, Pixar, film Cars.

Of course, with Chevrolet’s proud racing heritage, it has made appearances in movies like Days of Thunder (1990 Chevrolet Lumina):

Some were witnesses to murder:

In A Scanner Darkly, a 1981 Chevrolet Impala was animated in Linklater’s artistic film:

Lastly, but my personal favorite, is Kramer’s famous car in Seinfeld, a 1973 Chevrolet Impala:

What’s your favorite? What did I leave out?
