The 2009 Chevrolet Traverse

The 2009 Chevrolet Traverse

Chevrolet looks to have a real contender in the growing crossover market, and it’ll be available in the fall of this year.

Manufacturers are increasingly finding appealing a distinctive front ends and attaching them to their line of vehicles (think Ford Edge/Fusion, Jeep and Hummer’s grills). Chevrolet obviously feels it has a winning design with the new Malibu, and so it’s applied that Malibu look to the new Traverse.

The Traverse will be powered by a 286 horsepower, 3.6 liter, V6 engine. It offers a third row of seats, an entertainment system for the back passengers, navigation system, and even a rear-view camera.

Chevrolet is placing this as a low-cost alternative to the Buick Enclave (which is built on the same GM platform).
