2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Review
The 2008 Tahoe LS is a road warrior capable of remarkable things. It sports a Vortec 4.8L V8 engine as a standard feature, and as an optional feature the Vortec 5.3L V8 is available. The Active Fuel Management technology is attached to that, so the Tahoe can utilize its 320 horsepower with the best fuel economy in its class with 20 miles per gallon on the highway’s open road. With this much horsepower, this Tahoe is capable of towing up to 8,200 pounds. As an added bonus, the automatic transmission is equipped with an input speed sensor and a Transmission Control Module. Together, these systems optimize the shift quality in relation to the driver’s input.
The 2008 Tahoe LS also features the StabiliTrak Control module. What this does is monitor your steering input with the vehicle’s actual response. If the AI deems it necessary, it will formulate calculated brake formations to effectively control the vehicle and keep you safe. This is useful in situations of loss of lateral traction or fishtailing. To provide even more safety, all passenger rows are guarded with head-curtain side-impact air bags; there are also the traditional driver and front passenger air bags as well. All of this integrated with the extensively detailed monitors, including ones for oil, tire ressure, and more!
The 2008 Tahoe offers an aesthetically pleasing cabin, a safe and effective powertrain, a pleasant ride and accommodations that are able to fit up to nine passengers. This omnipotent vessel is one vehicle you don’t want to pass over.
