2008 Chevrolet Equinox Review

Standard with the Sport is a 3.6-liter DOHC V6 engine; this powerful engine can gain up to 264 hp and allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under seven seconds! In addition, the Equinox is equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission that comes with Tap-Up/Tap-Down manual shift capabilities, and adaptive learning potential. All of this power allocates the Equinox with 3,500 pounds of towing capacity. One of the best things about the 2008 Sport model is that you get an estimated 24 MPGhighway; you can have the convenience of an SUV doubled with a compact and fuel-efficient design.
The 2008 Sport model comes standard with the StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System, which keeps your vehicle stable in any situation. Driver and right-front passenger, dual-stage, frontal airbags come standard, as well optional head-curtain side-impact airbags. With the four-channel anti-lock brake system, this vehicle is definitely a safe vessel. In addition, the interior features a Driver Information Center, allowing you to keep a close check on various vehicle functions such as oil life, battery voltage status, tire pressure, fuel range, a compass and more! The Sport model rides an inch lower than other models, which gives it more responsive steering and keeps it situated more securely on the ground. The optional on-demand all-wheel drive doesn’t hurt either!
